Hey guys! If you're a long-time reader of the blog, you may have noticed that I do have an affinity to sharing Look Fantastic links when talking about places that you can purchase the products that I discuss on my blog. It's one of my favourite places to purchase things I need (and want!), so when I was contacted recently to do a post collaboration with Look Fantastic, I was very excited.
Look Fantastic Beauty Box August 2023 |
Today I shall be discussing the Look Fantastic Beauty Box which is a monthly offering that is available on the Look Fantastic website. Each month they curate a box full of six beauty goodies for their Beauty Box customers. I shall be looking at the August box today and having a look at each of the products that are included.
So what's inside this months box? Let's take a peek!
Rituals - The Ritual of Karma 48hr Hydrating Body Cream
Rituals - The Ritual of Karma 48hr Hydrating Body Cream |
First up is a product that I have used before and absolutely love. This body cream is hydrating and non-sticky, and the fragrances of every product by Rituals are divine.
The Ritual of Karma is a lotus flower and white tea fragrance which is light and floral and this body cream leaves that scent lingering on the skin which is perfect for fragrance layering, if you're into that (Rituals have some lovely fragrances in their range which are perfect for layering with their body creams and washes).
Alongside the 48hr Hydrating Body Cream, Rituals also offer a whole collection of other Ritual of Karma products including body and home items and also their facial sunscreen which is one of my favourites.
You can find Rituals - The Ritual of Karma 48hr Hydrating Body Cream at Look Fantastic.
Revolution - Multi Acid Peeling Solution
Revolution - Multi Acid Peeling Solution |
The Revolution Multi Acid Peeling Solution is a quick, twice-weekly, 10-minute face mask product that exfoliates the skin to remove dead skin and to unveil a more radiant and fresh face.
Revolution have been smashing it out of the park as of late with their skincare, makeup and even hair care ranges at super affordable prices. I'm a fan of products that work rather than always choosing the most expensive option and Revolution products just keep joining my collection.
I hadn't yet tried this product until receiving it in this August Look Fantastic Beauty Box, but after trying it out I was left with glowing skin and no irritation which can be an issue with products such as these. There was no sting, no itching and no redness.
As with all other exfoliating products, they are best to use at night time and please don't forget the sunscreen during the day time (hey, maybe you could even try some of the sunscreen coming up later in this post or the Ritual of Karma sunscreen that I mentioned above!).
You can find the Revolution - Multi Acid Peeling Solution at Look Fantastic.
Ciate London - Everyday Vacay Coconut Lip Oil
Ciate London - Everyday Vacay Coconut Lip Oil |
Out of all of the products in this months box, this may be the one I'm most excited to try. The Ciate Everyday Vacay Coconut Lip Oil is designed for super hydration and shine without the stickiness of a gloss. The smell is also reminiscent of being on holiday, so if you're missing the beach visits, sipping away on cocktails in the sun, this may give you the holiday nostalgia hit you need.
I've been wearing this and found that whilst it is heavier than a balm (as oils tend to be), its definitely less sticky than a gloss. Your lips are left looking glossy and feeling softer. This can be worn alone or over the top of lipstick so it's a great multitasker too!

Peter Thomas Roth - Cucumber Gel Mask
Peter Thomas Roth - Cucumber Gel Mask |
Next up is the Cucumber Gel Mask by Peter Thomas Roth. This mask is designed to refresh, cool, moisturise and soothe the skin. It's another quick, 10-minute mask but this one can be used 2-3 times per week.
I've given it a whirl (alongside the next product that I'm going to discuss) the day after the Revolution mask and I found it to be really cooling and soothing. It provides a nice level of hydration and I think that it's a fab little mask for the summer months in particular. It is easy to apply and easy to remove as it's a gel, so there's no messy removal afterwards.
You can find the Peter Thomas Roth - Cucumber Gel Mask at Look Fantastic.
So Eco - Face Mask Applicator
So Eco - Face Mask Applicator |
To go alongside the face mask mentioned above, Look Fantastic have added this handy Face Mask Applicator to aid you with applying the mask in a more hygienic way. The applicator is made of soft silicone and the handle is made from natural materials.
The Face Mask Applicator is really simple to use and allows you to apply face masks evenly and without having to use your fingers to either dip into products or to potentially contaminate the mask in any way.
As the applicator is silicone, it means that it is easy to clean too, and it's the size of a makeup brush meaning that it's easy to hold and to manoeuvre.
You can find the So Eco - Face Mask Applicator at Look Fantastic.
Bleach London - Reincarnation Mask
Bleach London - Reincarnation Mask |
We also have a hair care product in this month's Beauty Box - Bleach London's Reincarnation Mask. This mask is designed to help to revive dry, damaged, bleached or coloured hair. It is Vegan and Cruelty Free and the tube is made with recycled materials, but it does contain amodimethicone - a note for those who avoid silicones.
Application comes in replacement of a conditioner, so it is applied for between 10-20 minutes onto wet hair post shampoo. I tried this product out on my daughter's hair as she has thick, drier hair whereas mine is finer. The Reincarnation Mask helped to soften her hair and left it feeling less dry and there was also a lovely glossy shine. We did need to use a fair amount to cover her hair as it is also longer than mine, but it took around the same amount of time as a regular conditioner to rinse out.
You can find the Bleach London - Reincarnation Mask at Look Fantastic.
L'Oreal - Revitalift Clinical Anti-UV Fluid
L'Oreal - Revitalift Clinical Anti-UV Fluid |
To round off the box, we have two sachets of the L'Oreal Revitalift Clinical Anti-UV Fluid which is an SPF 50 facial cream for daily use. This cream also contains a Vitamin C derivative which should also help to provide a healthy glow. I've tried it out and I love that it is non-greasy and doesn't leave a shine on the skin. A lot of sunscreens can do that, but this one is light and watery in texture and not heavy on the skin. There is also no white cast post-application, but the skin does look glowing in a non-greasy manner.
I think it's a great idea to include some SPF in a box alongside a chemical peel mask as it's something that a lot of people forget about in the aftermath of using a peel. Always remember to use your SPF, folks!
You can find the L'Oreal - Revitalift Clinical Anti-UV Fluid at Look Fantastic.
And there we have it! Overall I think that this Beauty Box is well rounded with product choices covering different areas, but all focusing around a theme of glowing. The box is available at a great price for the amount that you get per month as well. The value of the items in total is £51 and you can get them all for the price of £13.
You can order your own Look Fantastic Beauty Box on the Look Fantastic website and you can also take advantage of their subscription tiers to save some money also!
