Hey guys! Today I’m going to talk about a product that I’ve wanted to post about for a while. It’s for those who are looking for that flawless finish to our makeup that not only reduces pore size and helps our makeup to last longer, but that also looks like real life photoshop or an in person filter. Yep, that’s right. We’re looking at HD Powder again today!

I’m going to be discussing the NYX HD Finishing Powder in both pressed and loose form. They’re the exact same powder, but just packaged in different ways. As you’d expect, the loose and pressed versions do apply differently, so I’m going to go into the differences as well as pros and cons of each throughout this post. 

The NYX HD Finishing Powder is a lightweight powder that is designed to finish your look by minimising the appearance of pores and fine lines whilst also providing a matte, filtered looking finish. It is available in three shades; white/transparent, banana and green. I have both the loose and pressed in the shade white/transparent, but I will be talking a bit about the differences between how they apply to the other shades in this post. 

The loose powder comes packaged in a transparent plastic pot with a black screw cap lid. The inside has a layer of plastic with holes in to help to control the amount of powder that is dispensed at a time. The pressed version comes packaged in a sleek, black, plastic compact with a transparent section on top to see the powder through. 

The packaging can get pretty scratched up over time with frequent use as can be seen on my loose powder pot.

They started creating these products back in 1990 when Tara O’Keeffe saw the discomfort her father, Bill O'Keeffe, was in with his dry skin that was caused by rigorous, hard work. She managed to use her skills as a pharmacist alongside her father’s help to create a cream that worked for him, and this became the Working Hands Hand Cream reviewed here today.

From there, they went on to include the rest of the range of products that will be shown in this post over the years.

They’re all packaged in brightly coloured bottles, a different colour for each product and some of the products are available in different sizes.

Hey guys! I hope that you all had an amazing Christmas and New Year! For the first post of 2019, I’m coming with something a bit different, but definitely exciting. Technology advancements are coming along in leaps and bounds right now. This is even noticeable in the beauty industry, including with the product featured in today’s post. 

The Sanyei ION-Sei Electric Toothbrush is a toothbrush for the modern day. It uses ionic "superpowers" to clean the teeth and to provide you with healthier teeth and gums with the use of its patented technology. They say that whilst most electric toothbrushes only remove some of the bacteria and plaque on the teeth, the ION-Sei’s ionic technology suppresses the bacteria that leads to plaque from forming in the first place. 

This works by the use of an Ultra Violet LED light reacting with a bar of Titanium Dioxide placed in the toothbrush head handle to create the ions that remove the bacteria. The negative electrons reach your mouth via water or saliva. A conductor on the handle also works with your body’s natural electrical charge to create a bacterial growth inhibiting charge that draws bacteria onto the brush from the teeth.

The ion cleaning method also means that you can clean your teeth with just water, only using toothpaste if you want to.

Whilst all of that is happening, the toothbrush is vibrating at 31,000 strokes a minute to deep clean your teeth. 

Now that’s pretty amazing sounding, right? 

It comes in two colours: white (called Day White) and a baby blue colour (called Lake Blue). I have the blue shade to show you today.

It is a sleek, lightweight brush that looks great sitting in any bathroom. It also comes packaged with a UK plug and an EU adapter.
