There's a lot going on over at Avon recently. You may have already seen my posts about their new mark. range and the new 3D Plumping Lipstick shades, but I have another bunch of goodies to show you today and in a follow up post. Whew!
Avon True Colour Supreme Nourishing Lipstick in Crimson Dream |
Avon are currently releasing numerous new shades to prior collections as well as releasing new lines under their new mark. collection, so there really is a lot of activity going on over in the Avon camp right now for me to update you all on.
This post is going to be looking at the new Blushed Shades of the True Colour Perfectly Matte Lipstick and the new True Colour Supreme Nourishing Lipstick shades, but I do have another post incoming soon to show you swatches of the new mark. lipstick line too.
If you are interested in the new 3D Plumping Lipstick shades, I have already swatched them and they can be found on the blog. Lots and lots of lipsticks; lipstick everywhere!
So without further ado, let's get into the new shades of the present collections.
Before we go on, I have a quick side note. Normally in these posts I do lip swatches, but over the last few days I've had a new, minor flare up of my perioral dermatitis and therefore applying lipstick, removing it, applying more and so on can't happen at the moment. Therefore, I have instead provided you all with some arm swatches. Apologies to those who normally check in for lip swatches, but this is the best I could do this time!
Moving on to said swatches though, we'll start off with the Perfectly Matte range.
I've written in depth about the Avon Perfectly Matte Lipstick collection before, so instead of harping on about the details I will direct you to that and keep this post for samples. If you're looking for swatches of the Perfectly Matte Lipstick summer shades from 2016, they're on the blog too.
There are 6 new shades in total, all pretty, pinky, nude type shades for a variety of skintones. I've swatched them in two different types of lighting.
As with the rest of the Perfectly Matte Lipsticks, they have great longevity and a fab matte finish.
Like the Perfectly Matte range, I've already written about the Avon Supreme Nourishing Lipsticks in depth before. For the ins and outs on the bulk of the collection, go and check that post out, and we'll jump into the new swatches here.
In this range there are only 5 new shades with a mix of more vibrant and more subtle shades. Each of them have a spring/summer vibe though. As before, I swatched them in two different types of lighting.
Overall I'm liking the new shade choices, in particular the Perfectly Matte shades. I think that Avon are well aware of the quality and the fact that the customers are really loving the range (from my experience and own conversations with folks, anyway), so they're really churning out a choice of shades to keep everyone happy. Personally I think it's great. I love the formula and the longevity in particular, so I am enjoying all of the new colours to choose from.
The Supreme Nourishing Lipsticks had a couple of misses in the original batch but I think that the new shades do rectify one of the issues from before: the smell. Before I explained that the dark shades had more of a chemical smell to them but with this one they seem to have added more of a fragrance to them to counter it. Everything else about the new shades is pretty much on par with the originals.
You can purchase all of the new Avon Perfectly Matte Be Blushed Lipstick shades and the new Supreme Nourishing Lipstick shades from my Avon store (UK only and courier delivery only).
If you didn't find a shade you liked here or if you're hungry for a different type of formula or more shades to browse, stay tuned for the second half of this post with a whole collection of swatches from a new Avon collection, coming soon.
What are your thoughts on the new shades? Which one is your favourite?
