InstaNatural Argan Oil Hair Treatment & Elixir and Argan Oil Hair Mask reviews

If you are a regular reader of my blog, you may have seen that I have reviewed a couple of InstaNatural products recently and I have been loving them! Well, today I am quite excited to discuss not one, but TWO InstaNatural hair products for you all!

InstaNatural Argan Oil Hair Treatment & Elixir and Argan Oil Hair Mask

First up we have the Argan Oil Hair Treatment & Elixir, a blend of argan oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil, olive oil, grapeseed oil and shea butter to revitalise limp and lifeless hair. The 100% plant oil formula also helps to add long-lasting shine to the hair and also tame frizziness. Shea butter adds volume and pathenol strengthens hair shafts by filling in cracks. It’s a multi-functional hair blessing!

It can be used as an overnight treatment, a quick 10 minute treatment, 2 hour treatment and even a serum on dry hair.

Next up we also have the Argan Oil Hair Mask, a deep conditioning hair treatment for dry, damaged hair. It includes a collection of natural and organic ingredients such as argan oil, coconut oil, Vitamin B5, shea butter, jojoba oil, avocado oil, amino acid complex and more.

It aims to fix up dry or damaged hair as well as making hair more manageable, smooth and shiny with more volume.

Both products are safe for coloured hair and also help to protect the hair during heat styling.

I’m going to start off by discussing my results with the oil, then follow up with the conditioner.

Argan Oil Hair Treatment & Elixir

InstaNatural Argan Oil Hair Treatment & Elixir

Application:

Apply as much oil as is needed to the hair and leave in for either 10 minutes, 2 hours or even over night.

Shampoo after use.

Results:

I have tested out this oil as an overnight treatment as well as a quick 20 min treatment, and even though they work well as both, I definitely prefer using it overnight.

Only a small amount of oil is really needed to cover the hair entirely which is great. I like to make sure that it is covering everywhere by using my trusted Denman Shower Brush to massage it into the scalp and brush it through the hair.

If using overnight, there is no staining or greasiness left behind on the pillow which is fab, but you may prefer to wrap your hair up or use a different pillow case, whichever you prefer.

InstaNatural Argan Oil Hair Treatment & Elixir

The Argan Oil Hair Treatment & Elixir is easy to wash out, but I still recommend two washes to make sure you don't have any greasiness afterwards.

Once the hair is dry, it instantly feels softer with more volume, but my favourite part is the shine that it leaves. The shine lasts for days, so you don’t need to use the oil every night, but once or twice a week definitely helps to improve the condition of your hair.

Overall, this one is definitely a winner. I love it!

Application:

Apply a generous amount to shampooed and towel dried hair, from root to tip. Massage it in and leave on for between 5-15 minutes.

Results:

I was a little hesitant to try this at first due to the amodimethicone that is included. I use natural hair products and I avoid certain ingredients such as silicones and SLS, but after a lot of research into this particular silicone, I found this fab little page that swayed me to give it a try.

For those of you who are also into natural hair products and avoid silicones, this is probably best to avoid if you do not use a shampoo that contains a cleansing agent. For more info on this, I highly recommend that you read the above link which explains is really well.

The shampoo that I currently use contains cocamidopropyl betaine which is able to remove amodemethicone, so I decided to go for it.

InstaNatural Argan Oil Hair Mask Ingredients

Firstly, the smell of this Argan Oil Hair Mask is simply divine! It's so creamy and cookie-like. Lovely! Also, because it's quite a strong scent, it lingers after rinsing too to the point where you can smell it by simply moving your head rather than needing to bury your nose into it for a good sniff.

It applies well and smoothes out throughout the hair easily. I left it on for the full fifteen minutes before rinsing it out.

The removal process was straightforward. It doesn’t take too long to remove, but this is also dependant on how much you applied (I applied quite a bit!).

After drying, I was happy that my hair wasn’t left feeling heavy even though it is an oil-rich conditioner. I found that the drier parts of my hair definitely felt a lot softer, but you can still tell that it needs some work. It makes me optimistic that with continued use the hair mask (as well as the oil), my hair will be in far better condition.

Overall, I think that the Argan Oil Hair Mask is pretty good, but if you want to avoid silicones entirely, this won’t be for you. However, if you are more open-minded, you could enjoy using this too.

Final verdict:

I really enjoy both of these products, but the Argan Oil Hair Treatment & Elixir is definitely my favourite of the two. It is so light and works absolute wonders on the hair. It’s like going to sleep with dull hair and waking up with brand new shiny hair! It is definitely worth a try!

With that said, I don’t dislike the Argan Oil Hair Mask at all. In fact, I rather like it. Whilst it can be used as an every day conditioner, I think that I will be using it more as a weekly treatment. Along with using the oil twice a week, I’m happy with the combination of the two working as a team to fix up my hair.

You can purchase the InstaNatural Argan Oil Hair Treatment & Elixir for £19.95/120ml from Amazon, and the InstaNatural Argan Oil Hair Mask for £17.95/240ml also from Amazon.

  1. Loss of hair is a natural process, but hair loss at early stage of a life is a result of improper take of nutritional vitamins in a daily diet. Many hair growing products are available in the market, but always consult doctor or dermatologist before using any product to get the best result.

  2. I don't think so any oil can stops hair fall permanently. If any person facing 20 to 30% hair fall daily so they should consult with experts of hairs like Dr. Kinnar Kapadia. He is gold medallist surgeon of hair transplant.
