Cattier Fleur d’Émulsion Mattifying Day Care Moisturiser review

Oily or combination skin can be a pain to deal with. There are some mattifying moisturisers out there that can make oily skin appear worse after a while or even some that do nothing at all, but one of the things I personally look for is a moisturiser that simply balances the skin. Something that doesn't necessarily make your skin matte and dull, but something that just regulates excess oil without going a step too far.

Cattier Fleur d'Émulsion Mattifying Day Care Moisturiser for Oily or Combination Skin

Cattier's Fleur d’Émulsion Mattifying Day Care for oily to combination skin claims to do just that. It has a powdery texture and it moisturises whilst rebalancing the epidermis. It's a natural product that contains organic anti-oxidant hazelnut oil, organic shea butter, masterwort flower extract, Phycosaccharide (brown alga extract) and organic aloe vera to intensely moisturise as well as mattify (along with the help of Silica).

It is also non-comedongenic which means that it doesn't clog up the pores.

Application:

To use, press down on the pump slowly to produce the preferred amount of product. Massage the moisturiser in to clean, dry skin.

I find that four small pumps are enough to cover my whole face.

Results:

The first thing that you notice upon squeezing the product out of the tube is the beautiful, floral scent that it has. It's gentle but fresh. It puts a little smile on my face!

I find that this moisturiser makes my skin look like new, especially when following the Huygens Exfoliating Cream (which is a FANTASTIC little product!). It’s like having brand new, happy and healthy looking skin. It is also lightweight so feels really good on the skin, a particular plus in the summer months!

It instantly makes the skin look semi-matte rather than fully matte, so if you are looking for something that leaves no glow on your skin whatsoever then you may not find exactly what you want with this. Your face still feels soft and silky, but with a natural glow rather than a greasy one. It does what it claims to - rebalances.

There are a lot of mattifying moisturisers out there that don't hold oil at bay for the entire day, but this is one of the good ones. My skin usually stays pretty well balanced since I began using this around a month and a half or so ago so I've been a happy customer for sure!

Cattier Fleur d'Émulsion Mattifying Day Care Moisturiser for Oily or Combination Skin

Overall, this is a great little moisturiser. It’s mattifying but not heavy on the skin. It sits lightly and makes the skin look new and healthy with a natural glow that doesn’t look oily or greasy. If you have oily or combination skin and want a product that can help your skin be less greasy rather than simply look less shiny, this is definitely worth a go. The only downside is that it seems to be pretty difficult to find here in the UK. I can only find it for sale via Birchbox (Ecco-Verde also sell Cattier products, but I couldn't find this particular moisturiser).

You can find a full bottle of Cattier's Fleur d'Émulsion Mattifying Day Care for £14.50/50ml from Birchbox (but at the time of writing it is currently down to an AMAZING bargain price of £5.80 in the Birchbox Summer Sale - a fantastic time to snatch it up!).
